Before coffee becomes a green bean ready for export, it passes through a careful sequence of steps that decide its flavour potential. Understanding that journey helps you judge what is in the bag.

Harvest. Ripe cherries are selectively picked by hand. On the washed side, cherries are pulped the same day to separate the bean from the fruit. On the natural side, whole cherries are laid out to dry slowly in the sun.

Drying. Moisture is reduced gradually on raised beds or patios until the beans reach a stable level for storage and transport. Rushing this stage flattens the cup; patience protects sweetness and clarity.

Milling. Dried parchment is hulled to reveal green coffee. Beans are then graded by screen size and passed through colour sorting to remove defects before a final hand check.

At CabLinks this work happens close to origin, so value stays with the farming communities. The result arrives at your roastery as green coffee that is clean, consistent and ready to roast. Explore our grades on the products page or request samples from our export desk.
